This distinguished family portrait is of the Bill Joe Orr family. Pictured, left to right, is Bill Joe Orr, Howard Orr, Bobby Joe Orr, Ester Bell Orr, with Wylie Orr in the middle. Bill Joe built the house located just as you turn off Alabama Highway 229 on to Andrews Mill Road. at 46 Andrews Mill Road, today occupied by Bart and Ellen McManus. He sold it to T. I. and Annie Beulah Cotton in the 1940's and moved his family to Palm Harbor, Florida. Bobby Joe moved back to Red Hill after about 25 years in Florida. Bill Joe and Ester Bell returned to this area after about 30 years. Howard and Wylie remained in Florida until their deaths. All this family is gone now but they were a great part of early Red Hill.

I remember the Orr family. They also lived in Palm Harbor, Fl. for a few years. Howard Orr worked for my dad at the depot. Great photo!!
