Ms. Mary Alma Taylor Hall Moore, daughter of Mr. Ivora Taylor, enjoying a sunny day moment with two of her grandsons, Mark and Matt Hall. They are shown on the rocks near the mill race of her grandfathers grist mill on Gold Branch Creek, just behind the home where she grew up, just off East Cotton Road. Ms. Moore was born on January 16, 1905 and died on December 22, 1986 at almost 81 years of age.

My husband and I just bought this old homestead . Looking for info on the grist mill as we want to restore it and the old homestead

I am not sure when the old mill operation was discontinued but we might ask around. I played on the rocks of the old mill race back in the 40's and 50's. The lady on the rocks was my aunt.
