This is Cynthia Varilla Kennedy Hall, know as "Granny Hall" to many of her grandchildren and great grand children. She was born in Elmore County, Alabama on July 3, 1880. Her father, Thomas Jefferson Cannady(Kennedy) had come into Alabama in the mid 1800s on a covered wagon from Harris County, Georgia. She married Joel Macon Hall on January 14, 1897 and died on July 28, 1974, a few years after seeing the moon landing on her snowy black and white TV.
